Profile
I am a software architect and principal-level engineer with 15+ years of experience building enterprise SaaS across FinTech, EdTech, healthcare and manufacturing. I work where architecture, production reliability and implementation depth all matter.
I work as a Lead Developer / Cloud Engineer at Entrypoint while building an independent consulting and product practice through selected B2B engagements. I combine architecture ownership with hands-on delivery: tracing real code and data paths, resolving production problems, implementing targeted changes and proving them through builds, tests and operational evidence.
Systems: distributed .NET platforms, microservices, databases, integrations and cloud infrastructure.
Problems: scalability, performance, concurrency, data consistency, reliability and modernization.
Availability: one selected independent engagement at a time, with scope and delivery capacity agreed around the problem.
Based in Spain and available across Europe and internationally.
How I can help
Available for focused assessments, technical investigations, implementation sprints and fractional leadership across Europe and internationally.
Clarify system boundaries, reduce technical risk and evolve complex .NET and cloud platforms without losing delivery momentum.
Investigate performance, concurrency, data consistency, integration and reliability problems across application and infrastructure layers.
Provide architecture ownership, design and code review, mentoring, delivery guidance and difficult hands-on implementation.
Integrate coding agents into real delivery workflows with research discipline, repository conventions, testing and human verification gates.
Ways to work together
I currently accept one selected independent engagement at a time. Scope, delivery window and reserved capacity are agreed around the problem, urgency and expected outcome.
Recommended first step
For a complex or aging .NET system where the risks, bottlenecks and right modernization sequence are not yet clear.
Focused investigation
For production issues involving performance, cloud cost, concurrency, data consistency, integrations or cross-service failures.
Ongoing senior ownership
For teams that need consistent senior technical leadership without immediately adding a full-time principal-level hire.
Focused implementation
For a defined architecture, backend or cloud change that needs senior implementation without an open-ended contract.
Clarify the problem, urgency and business context.
Define the smallest useful engagement and success criteria.
Investigate, implement and verify against agreed outcomes.
Continue into an implementation sprint or ongoing leadership when useful.
* Typical ranges for a focused scope. Final effort and delivery window depend on system size, complexity, access and critical flows, and are confirmed before work begins. Calendar windows allow for access, feedback and verification; any scope beyond the agreement is discussed before work continues.
AI-augmented engineering
I use coding agents as a structured engineering channel for research, planning, implementation, testing and review—not as a substitute for architecture ownership or production discipline.
Trace real call and data paths across repositories, identify the smallest safe change surface, then implement.
Use cross-layer investigation and tests to expose transaction, data-integrity and concurrency defects.
Drive builds and large automated suites to green, including repeated runs exceeding 500 tests.
Stop wrong assumptions, reject scope creep and keep human approval at architecture and risk boundaries.
Vibe-coded project getting harder to change?
I bring fast-built web, .NET, backend and cloud projects under engineering control: fix fragile behaviour, remove duplicated and contradictory code, restore clear structure and add meaningful tests.
Selected case studies
Two examples of hands-on architecture and implementation across enterprise FinTech and EdTech systems.
Enterprise FinTech engagement
An AWS-based portfolio-management platform spanning 40+ microservices and supporting 120,000+ loans and 40,000+ commercial real-estate transactions.
Over 18 months, I worked across UI and backend delivery. I built the complete Rolodex module for managing clients, accounts and access to content, and separately developed a module for managing commercial real-estate portfolios. I also repaired financial metric calculators, implemented and corrected user interfaces, and contributed to system design.
Designed controllers, APIs, system modules and concurrent processing. Combined serverless architecture, Redis caching, database optimization and infrastructure right-sizing across performance-sensitive flows.
Enterprise EdTech engagement
A legacy platform needed a modern architecture capable of supporting 70,000+ users and approximately 10,000 daily logins.
I led system design and worked hands-on with one other developer across a custom LMS, real-time collaborative editing of shared SVG content, user and content administration, a content gallery, and a redesigned purchasing experience.
Designed the replacement platform and buying flow, introduced scalable real-time collaboration, established secure-development practices, and prepared the system for annual SOC 2 audits and penetration testing.
Client-side recommendation
“I've had the pleasure of working with Dmitri on numerous projects, and I can confidently attest to his exceptional skillset and dedication to delivering high-quality solutions. His strong communication skills and collaborative mindset make him an invaluable asset to any team.”

Frequently asked questions
Direct answers about fit, engagement models, delivery approach and location.
I help teams assess and modernize complex .NET systems, resolve production performance and reliability problems, improve distributed architectures and provide senior technical ownership where architecture and hands-on delivery must stay connected.
For an unfamiliar or aging system, an Architecture & Codebase Assessment is usually the clearest first step. For an active incident or persistent production issue, start with a focused Performance & Reliability Investigation.
Yes. I work as a fractional architect or principal engineer for teams needing ongoing architecture decisions, design and code review, mentoring, delivery guidance and difficult hands-on implementation.
I use coding agents for structured research, planning, implementation, testing and review. Architecture ownership, risk decisions and production verification remain human-controlled, with evidence and tests used as delivery gates.
I am based in Spain and work remotely with clients across Europe and internationally. I accept one selected independent engagement at a time across assessments, investigations, implementation sprints and fractional leadership.
Pricing follows an initial discovery conversation and depends on scope, urgency, technical risk and the most suitable commercial model. Assessments, focused investigations, monthly allocations and implementation sprints have different shapes.
